How do I know which Mylar bag style is right for my product?
+
It mainly depends on your product size, filling method, display needs, and how customers will use the package. A stand-up format works well when shelf presentation matters, while a flat pouch can make more sense for smaller products or shipping. If you need customers to see the contents, a clear window can be added without changing the overall custom structure. For custom Mylar bags, we can help you compare the practical options before you finalize the size and format.
What artwork files do you need before production?
+
AI, PSD, EPS, and PDF files are preferred. We recommend CMYK artwork at 300 DPI or higher, with 3 mm bleed and all fonts converted to outlines. Once your bag size is confirmed, we'll provide a dieline so your artwork can be placed correctly around the zipper, seal, window, hang hole, and other features. If you only have a logo or an existing design, our team can also help prepare the artwork for custom printed packaging.
Will the printed colors look the same as my design?
+
Screen colors and printed colors can look slightly different because screens use RGB while packaging is normally printed in CMYK or with specified spot colors. For important brand colors, send us your Pantone reference when available. We'll review the artwork and confirm the print setup before production. If color consistency is critical for your brand, we can discuss a proofing option for food packaging or retail packaging before the full order goes into production.
Can I add a zipper, clear window, hang hole, or tear notch to the same bag?
+
Yes, depending on the bag structure and your product requirements. Zippers, clear windows, hang holes, tear notches, and other features need to be planned together with the dieline so they don't interfere with the seal, artwork, or filling area. For example, a hang hole can be useful for peg display, while a resealable zipper is more practical for products that are opened and used more than once. We'll check the combination before production for stand up pouches.
Are Mylar bags better than vacuum bags for product packaging?
+
They serve different packaging needs, so the right choice depends on the product and how it will be stored and sold. Vacuum bags are designed around removing air from the package, while high-barrier foil pouches can offer strong protection against light, moisture, oxygen, and odor when the appropriate material structure is selected. If you're comparing vacuum bags with Mylar packaging, consider shelf life, filling equipment, resealability, retail presentation, and whether customers need to see the product before choosing.
How can I be sure the bags will meet my requirements before placing a bulk order?
+
You don't have to finalize everything from a basic product photo. Send us your product details, target size, quantity, artwork, and any special requirements first. We'll review the material structure, dimensions, printing, closure, and added features with you before production. The goal is to make sure the specifications are clear before you commit to a larger order. As a direct packaging manufacturer, we can also discuss production details, sampling, and quality checks based on your project.
